Number Plate Recognition (web application)
April 30th, 2010 · No Comments

This is a classic example of how a custom web based application can offer advantages that would not be available using traditional approaches.
We don’t just design beautiful websites -
we also love to solve technical problems with sensible practical web application solutions!
Working with a local environmental company, Cad Recycling to ensure proper use of council recycling refuse sites throughout Denbighshire, using dedicated ANPR software and cameras located throughout Denbighshire County we were able to solve their problem quickly.
Using FTP software located on client machines at each site, we were able to ensure ANPR data (text and photos) are uploaded to a central resource. Once in here data is loaded into a master database.
Vehicles are flagged using a web interface and when a flagged vehicle comes onto site the staff are alerted via a variety of methods including SMS text message.
This is a classic example of how a custom web based application can offer advantages that would not be available using traditional approaches.

Distressed Spanish Properties
April 6th, 2010 · No Comments
Properties have feelings too you know! Although we are not talking about upset properties or the state of interior or exterior design on this occasion. Distressed properties are a result of a home owner getting into a situation with load repayments with a bank that has supplied a mortgage.
In Spain because of the glut of properties and the resulting loss in value, owners have not been able to rely on rising equity values to allow refinancing to get themselves out of trouble. In this case the bank often repossesses or forecloses on the property.
A UK based now company specializes in identifying these properties and will work with you and assist you in purchasing a below market value property on the Spanish Costas including the areas of Almeria Calida , Costa Azahar , Costa Blanca North , Costa Blanca South , Costa Del Sol , Costa Tropical , Dorada and Valencia.
John and Davidia have an intimate knowledge of the region and will be happy to meet you out in Spain and introduce you to key local contacts and facilitate the whole process to make it as easy as possible.
Our involvement in this project has been working with XML feeds to ensure the correct information in searchable across a wide range of property search criteria.

idrive.com stealing RAM Memory
February 2nd, 2010 · No Comments
idrive.com is a very low cost and effective entry level online backup solution. I have had quite a lot of success using it for straightforward backup situations.
One problem I have noticed that i cannot find documented is the application’s tendancy to steal memory resources, with a relatively modest backup set. The screenshot to the left illustrates this point and relates to a backup set of around 50 Gb. I’m wondering if anyone else out there is experiencing the same issue and if there is a simple solution?
