Honda Outboard Engine

Honda are arguably the best engine manufacturer in the world. The web marketing that supports this is perhaps not as prominent as is should be for such a prestigious manufacturer. After all when you make some of the best and most technologically advanced engines for the automotive, ATV, garden and marine (Honda Outboards) industries, the expertise shown at the customers end can be somewhat less than the product deserves. We are undertaking an initiative along with an Official Honda Marine Dealer in North Wales.

I have to say the minisite system is really coming together at the moment in many respects -

from the design point of view, we currently have a design for a hairdressers coming together really nicely and also a holidy rentals on Anglesey site. Both these sites are running on what we call minisite “Template Great!”.

a simple pure SEO minisite went up today for Berts Tools. This site is to support an existing online shop, the shop was initially very poorly optimised and in spite of the shopping cart application not really giving us sufficient control( )we have managed to do a half decent job. Proof of the pudding will be some sort of increase in the number of web orders for Power Tools and Hand Tools coming in.

a product minisite has been put together for the Paris Caravan, this is a special product put together for Marine Holiday Park in Rhyl near Towyn in North Wales.

Ok the scenario is as follows, you have an old website, maybe you have done a rebranding exercise and changed the name of the company and so the web address. There are two possibilities…

a) Set up a landing page which redirects to the new web address

b) Set up a special type of redirect called a 301 redirect. This type of redirect gives proper credit by search engines such as Google for any “Pagerank” or standing that the old page had.

We have to do these types of redirections very often, in fact we have just done it for our old Live Solutions site, we rebranded a few years ago and left the site up as it was still ranking well with Google for relevant search terms.
